what i learned 4/30/2024

I enjoyed watching the video and hearing the speaker talk about the organization he is a part of. I enjoyed him talking about the projects he was involved in such as the second library of Alexandria, how it was a thirteen-year project and when he was done with the project, he was able to get the staffing to be half men and half women in a middle eastern country which is in all honesty amazing. the second project I find really interesting that he talked about was the sidewalk project in New York City. I like how because of this project it took out the traffic from time square which will cut down on maintained cost and made it a more walking around and touristy type place, and the result show it gain New York City one hundred percent increase in tax revenue, a decrease in crime, a decrease in pedestrian incidents and, from what I remember, a sixty percent decrease in pollution which is really crazy because if you think about it means that roughly sixty percent of pollution came from this one area. Another project he talks about that I enjoyed was the next one he talked about the sidewalk project in Guatemala. I like it because he saw a problem and wanted to make sure it is fixed which is to make a sidewalk for the people to use and to be able to sell their items and it was all done on the dime of a man who is the biggest doner and really liked what they are able to do.
