week 4/9/2024 what I learned general.
So, this second week of this class and man is it interesting
I got to learn more about ads and read about TV commercials man those take me
back. I remember a lot of interesting commercials some not so interesting commercials
and overall, just about ads. I have more reason to believe that TV is dying
because there are no longer any good commercials anymore like the Mac vs PC commercials,
Kool-Aid man commercials, or the hubba bubba max commercial. Those old commercials
were creative and fun, they had a sense of care and detail that made sure they
would catch the audience’s eye and keep it there. Now in the digital age
everyone is online making weird ads that are not that fun or memorable and are
hard to get rid of sometimes just for clicks so a company can make money. The
banners that they make are somewhat eye catching, but they just take up space that
would have better use some for other things like links to other sites that are
related to said website. The ads on websites are purposely designed so you can
accidentally touch them making them more of a pest than anything else. If the
online ads were eye catching or more fun to look at then maybe I would be more willing
to have them around but they do not so they end up cluttering what would
otherwise be a great article about the death of TV ads. I do not like how the
ads these days are, they are forgettable, a waste of time and a waste of space.
