More Disney Stuff

So, I watched a documentary on Walt Disney and his life and what he has done while he was alive. Now granted I watched this on YouTube, and it did skip out on things, but I thought it was really interesting on how this man went from kid wanted to draw to doing full blown animation and then going on to create his big media empire that devoted to creating magic and happiness for both kids and family now if only they would lower the prices on the park tickets. I like how the man never gave up on his dream of being an artist and then pushed himself to become an animator and created the Alice cartoons, which saw alright success, and then created one of his best cartoon characters Oswald the Lucky rabbit. What sucks is him losing the rights to Oswald but if he didn't then arguably, he wouldn't have pushed himself further in his creativity and would not have created Disney animation studios and create one of the most iconic cartoon characters Mickey Mouse and his famous Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts. What I find very inspiring about Disney he put his everything on the line multiple times two time from what I can remember once when it came for Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts and the second time was for his first animated feature Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, which I believed help propel animation and helped get the U.S. out of the depression. One thing I like about Walt Disney is the fact that he has many hobbies including models trains, I don't care for trains that much, but I do like models. His love for model trains and the idea of amusement parks pushed him to create Disneyland but he had to cut away the burocracy going on in his company and create a whole new department which helped with his spontaneous creativity. On top of that he wanted to create this place so parents can let their kids run around while the parents can also have fun. One thing I found out while watching this documentary was that Walt Disney helped found and created Cal Arts an art college and arguably one of the best in the state of California.
