Covers

 

One of the things we talked about during class was the talk about book covers. I don’t really like books. I’m a person who enjoys comic books and one comic book I read was Guardians of the Galaxy issue 15 of the marvel now line. The thing that makes this misleading is the fact that Captain Marvel is on the cover of the book and yet she doesn't show up once in the book which is kind of annoying. Lastly, she's in the middle of what would appear to be a group shot and one person missing is Star Lord the leader of the Guardians of The Galaxy which implies to me as the reader as she's going to lead them this issue maybe beyond, but no She's doesn't do that.

One cover I enjoyed from a book I read was The Ultimate Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and it was a simple design and it showed me what I need to know. It shows me that it's going to be a fun wacky book and since this is the ultimate version it's going to have all the books. It’s also kind of big and grandiose which helps make the claim of having all the books in the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy books series. The creature placed floating above the title and is below the authors name is a creature being misgives implying to me as the reader that this series is going to be a goofy series or maybe a little cynical series about what appears to be a galaxy adventure not only is it said in the title, but it’s also can be seen on the book cover.
