Eastman Museum

This museum, like every museum we have looked at, is also interesting. I like seeing all the films weather it's photography or seeing actual negatives  for a movie or picture show its all fascinating to me. I like the large collections of historical and period pictures they have on display, along with that it would appear this museum looks to be devoted to photography and film throw the years. One of the collections I explored was the Photographic Processes Video Series & Glossary and its interesting to see how what we used to do before we had digital cameras. One of the ways we used to do portraits was taking a light source focusing on someone profile and then we would outline the profile and that's how we used to do a portrait back in the day. One process I learned about is called the gelatin silver process which helped make cameras more accessible to the public. One other thing about silver gelatin I learned was that early movies where helped created using silver gelatin. An exhibit I found interesting was the Anastasia Samolylova: Flood Zone. I found the pictures interesting, seeing the decay of a city and watching as nature is taking over the buildings, seeing the effects the flooding has on the building and plants planted there, and seeing the water reach into places and the wildlife slowly taking over as can be seen in a picture of a crocodile laying in a pool of Algy like water.
