My thoughts on Fluxus
I think Fluxus is a cool movement that should be learned more because I feel it has more or a cultural impact then Dada. Now from I've learned is that Fluxus was a movement that help made society looser in the sense of culture to where a movement like Dada, the movement about ready or manufactured art, could be seen and somewhat accepted. The Fluxus movement came around the 1960s 1970s and was a bunch of art works that broke a lot of the rules and taboos related to what people could consider art. I would stake a lot to say that without Fluxus Dada would be laughed out and wouldn’t exist because readymade art is stupid and, in all honesty, made art kind of boring. Like don’t the idea of taking glasses putting it on a pedestal and calling it art. Art shouldn’t be something someone can manufacture it should be something anyone make puts their heart, blood, and soul into and share with the world. Manufactured art is just manufactured good same as the rest with a quality control and soul. Manufactured art feels like there nothing it just exists and that boring, maybe if the manufactured item had some variety like painting it or making a couple of dents on it would be interesting. Example a line of cars that are all the same but are in different conditions because of the different people that would be cool, that would have some meaning, but I feel that doesn’t happen.
